Native Power

native power
all that is needed
is being one with the Creator
the Creator is God
the One who had created
all living things on this globe.
many believe
in the All That There Is
The Great I Am That I Am.
a true warrior knows
when to be peaceful and
when to strike his enemies.
a true warrior knows
the truth about life
when to love, when to fight
all knowledge
throughout the world is
Given to us by the Creator.
Amen

Hold On, another poem for Leonard Peltier, Native Blood
Hold on

This is for Leonard Peltier
Main:
Many moons ago, something had happened.
What had transpired during those dreadful hours?
The days that led up to horrible slaughters.
Whose fault was it, people had asked why
In the end, Leonard was a patsy for this ultimate lie.
Chorus:
When will they let Peltier go?
His hands are as clean as snow
Why are they holding him so?
Will we ever know?
Oh, Leonard Peltier, we’re with you, son.
Hold on.
Main:
Ever since the settlers came forth in wagons,
There was trouble with both races since day one.
When the dust had settled, many were lost.
And the precious lands, the natives once held,
Were no longer theirs to be used as hunting grounds.
Chorus:
When will they let Peltier go?
His hands are as clean as snow.
Why are they holding him so?
Will we ever know?
Oh, Leonard Peltier, we’re with you, son
Hold on.
Bridge (1)
For all of these centuries, not a day went by,
Without some injustice poured unto the Native sons.
Many people died on their reservations, without hope.
We must band together, you and I, for their future
Is at stake, the physical and spirit needs to be whole.
Bridge (2)
But, we will prevail, because Leonard is our brother.
We will peacefully band together around the world
Shouting and praying for his release
So that our brother can walk again on green grass
See the blue skies and be free once again.
Chorus:
When will they let Peltier go?
His hands are as clean as snow.
Why are they holding him so?
Will we ever know?
Oh, Leonard Peltier, we’re with you, son.
Hold on.

the sky is cloudy with its teardrops falling
a native born son is crying
when will I be set free from the talons
of the mighty eagle and fly home
to where the grass is green,
to draw a breath of fresh air.
ah, to see the sun and my family, once more
I weary but I am still strong in my heart
the Mighty Creator is with me
for I am not alone, I fly like the eagles
I will fly home to be with my people
they are my strength always
and my love for them immense
ah, to see the sun and my family, once more.

Mighty Creator, be with the people
The ones with Native Blood
Whether Cheyenne or Hopi
the message must get shown.
For quite some time,
the ones with Native Blood
were ruling o'er the lands
long before the settlers came
they were strong and very proud.
For centuries, they lived,
the ones with Native Blood,
lived in Peace and Harmony
Long before the settlers came,
they'd harmonized with everything.
The settlers caused distress
among ones with Native Blood
The soil cried out in pain
when the settlers deed was done.
May the Mighty Creator be with the ones with Native Blood
and may He forgive the settlers for what they had done.
May we all live in Peace and Harmony someday
the way the Creator had intended us to be always.
We are all beings of the human race.
May we finally see this truth post haste
For the Creator, Himself was sent here for all
Become one with Him and be together with you all.
