People are starving
throughout the world,
the reason why, I don't know.
why is the weather changing?
why is there much drought?
why aren't they being helped?
why are we in such doubt?

The have and the
have-nots in the world,
are pitted against each other
Oh, why can't we be one?
why deny each others help?
why hold back on giving love?
Twas God who first loved us.

Have we forgotten
what it was like
to be loved, to love others?
People are starving
throughout the world.
what are we to do?

People are drifting
away from our Lord,
He's who we need now,
why can't we love him?
Why do we feel alone?
Have we forgotten to believe
and trust in the Lord?

Bring us back to you, Jesus
cause your people, both in body and soul
are starving throughout the world.
